First Laneige Beauty Series 2015

First of all, I know that this is a very VERY LATE post...

But I still want to do a write up...so here it is. (^....^)

By the way, this is the second time that I attended a Beauty Event and also the second time that I attended one of my most favorite brands' event, Laneige. As of what I've written from my first Beauty Event post, I'm still excited every time I step my foot on the store of Laneige in SM Megamall. It's actually one of my go-to places everytime I leave the house. I love exploring their beauty counters. It feels like having a "virgin skin." HAHAHA... Besides, one of their employees already knew me and greets me nicely every time I go shopping for my beauty needs. She even remembers to give nice samples! (^...^) I actually missed going there. The last time that I visited was during this event and it's already March! (*0*)

So these are the happenings during the live demo by their Chief Make up Artist, Winn Ramos. He is also a Celebrity Make up Artist and his clients are mostly teen-agers like Janella Salvador. She (Janella) rose to fame from the daytime television drama, "Be careful with my heart" which also stars Jodi Sta. Maria, Richard Yap, and Aiza Seguerra.

Of course Laneige is a really popular Skin care and Cosmetic brand from South Korea so Winn started the session by doing the Skin Care Routine on his beautiful model. I heard that she really does Professional Modeling based on her friends' gossip. hahaha..

The model's skin naturally looks radiant already without make up that's why her friends pushed her to be his model. He used the White Plus Renew Line since the model is also fair-skinned.

He first applied Skin Refiner to cleanse the skin of dirt and impurities to make a clean, smooth, and blemish-free base.

Then he applied the Clear-C Effector which is an upgraded version. It helps to prep the skin and doubles the nutrient absorption from the skin care products.

Next is the Emulsion. It instantly supplies the Whitening Moisture Barrier. It helps calm the skin and replenishes moisture to weary and tired-looking skin.

And for my favorite part, Essence. This is one of the best-selling products of Laneige. It promises to give a two-tones lighter skin in as early as two weeks with a regular day and night use. Two to three pumps is enough then massage it to the entire skin for better absorption. The best part is it's for all skin types and you can also use it before your makeup.

This is one of the "must" part of your skincare routine. The Eye Cream or Serum or whatever eye product that you love to use. It is a must for your eyes determines your skin age, in which here means, you look older if you have deep wrinkles, and dark circles around your eyes that's why it is better that as early as 20, one must take extra care of their eye area. This product has a cooling sensation that helps in soothing under eye puffiness and in smoothing the skin of your eyes for an easy and crease-free makeup application. It's kind of like a primer that has brightening effects.

Last is the White Plus Renew Original Cream which you can use day or night. Scoop a pea-sized amount of this gel-type cream and gently massage it to the entir face and apply some on your neck as well. It gives of luscious feeling of a brightened and hydrated skin.

Additional Tip: Since the skin may look oily beacause of the dewiness that all the skincare products gave, blot the skin with a blotting paper or a strip of a tissue paper to get of the excess products before makeup application.

Now this is also a global best-seller. The BB cushion. This is the upgraded version of the Snow Soothing BB Cushion which was released last 2013, I think. There are actually 3 types. First is the Whitening, second is the pore-control cushion and the anti-aging cushion.I've already tried the whitening and the pore-control. I'd do a separate review of the products in here so stay tuned. He used it with the puff and I can still remember him saying that we must use the sponge cause it's really matipid meaning a little product is all you need and you can save more by using the sponge applicator.

It is followed by another new addition to their make up line. This is the Watery Cushion Concealer. It is a click-pen type of concealer but this one has a dome-shaped sponge at the end unlike the usual thin and soft brushes. There are also three shades that can match a light, medium, and tan skin.

He then followed by applying the latest powder which is called the brush pact and it has three types as well. No. 1 is the Natural Finishing Pact. It has a matte finish and a has a light coverage. No. 2 is Pore Blur which is ideal for oily-type of skin like me. It is an absorbing white powder and is sort of a transluscent powder which means it has no coverage. And the third one is Pink Beam. It is a pinkish and shimmery highlight with a transluscent coverage and finish.

For the brows, he first brushed it with the spoolie that's included in the brow shaping kit. Then he picked up the shade in the middle and sort of mixed it with the first shade since the model's brown are light brown. The kit itslef is really good since it also has a tweezer that you can use whenever you need a quick brow grooming.

Since he wanted to create a natural look, he used an eyebrow pencil and gave the brows natural-looking hairs. He created it using this Natural Brow Liner in shade Mocha brown. This liner is really light and really good especially if you wanted to make your brows look naturally well-groomed.

For the eyes, he used the Multi Shaping Eyeliner to make the eyes look wider and more awake. He did a natural look on the upper lash line and water line. He used the brown shade for the look.

He used the new Jet Curling Mascara to finish the wide-eyed innocent look. It is smudge, sweat and water proof so no more "mascara worries."

He then added the Pure Radiant eyshadows. These shadowsare very pigmented even though they look really light. Most of them are sparkly since it makes the eyes look innocent and younger. You can also use it for highlighting.

For the cheeks, he combined a light pink blush with natual shading for it to have a natural, flushed skin. And also slightly contoured the face with the natural shading to give a three-dimensional look.

For the lips, he spread a thin layer of concealer to tone down the lip color and then applied the lipstick on the center by using a lip brush, slightly blending it outwards with the fingers for a gradient effect.

Now Song Hye Kyo's look is that easy thanks to the live demo.

It was a fun and noisy morning but I still enjoyed the workshop since Winn Ramos is a really good Make up Artist.

The fun part? The ladies who attended the workshop are mostly middle-aged and they even teased the staff to give them a 20% discount since they attended the event early. They're really noisy the entire seminar but that's passable since I also get to avail the 20% discount! Yes! I was actually planning to buy the trial kit but ended up buying the Water Sleeping Pack. I wasn't at first told that everyone who purchases at that time would get to have a 20% deduction since they were all busy with the "noisy ladies." HAHAHA... The Water Sleeping Pack is Php 1250 and I got it for only Php 1000 with of course, the freebies! (^.....^)
