Victoria's Secret Party Perfect Palette Review + Swatches
Hello everyone! There are a lot of Sales going on right now and I'm pretty sure most of the girls can't take their eyes on things that are too attractive for them not to buy. I don't really mind eyeshadows or palettes since I'm not good with eye makeup. But since my eyes are swollen like "bloodshot gun of swellies!!!" HAHAHA. (@...@) That's why I sort of have to study and learn them a bit. Anyway this palette was given as a gift to my mom by her student in a culinary school. My mom's a GREAT BAKER by the way and she taught in a culinary school last year. Though it's only part time, she's been having too many commendations from the students and the owners themselves. >>HAHAHA..I know right..<<

As you can see it's a go-to palette that you can put in your purse or bag, ready for touch-ups anytime.
It has 2 shades for the lid, 2 for the crease, and 2 for highlight. It also comes with a gel liner and a double-ended brush.

PRODUCT CLAIMS:
The perfect palette for sexy, party-ready eyes.
HOW TO APPLY:
The palette has easy to follow instructions and illustrations on how to put on an eye makeup. First is the LID. Sweep a "lid" shade across lid. By the way, there are 2 shades, one is a brownish shade and the other a silver shade. Then blend the color up to the brow bone and out to create a subtle winged shape at the outer corner. Run the same shade below the lower lashline. Second is the CREASE. Apply a "crease" shade at the outer corner and blend in towards the center, keeping color below the crease. Run in the same "Crease" shade along the outer half of the lower lashline. Third is the HIGHLIGHT and LINE. Add a brightening hit of a "Highlight" shade to the inner corner of the eye and along the browbone. Finish by applying the gel liner along top and bottom lashlines.

Since this is my first time reviewing eyeshadows, I think this palette did a fair job. In my opinion the shades are really appropriate for a sexy, party look style. Especially the "crease" shades. The Gel liner is similar to MAC's black gel liner. The liner could be quite messy upon application because the brush is really thin. That's why you may have to apply it little by little. I find it a bit hard to apply the liner using the brush that's why I would recommend that you use another brush. While the eyeshadow sponge applicator's texture is a bit rough that's why I prefer using another brush or fingertips.
PROS:
* The black liner is creamy and silky. It has a nice jet black pigment.
* The shadows doesn't leave creases and doesn't sit on fine lines.
* Coverage is light to medium.
*You can create so many different looks.
*"highlight" shades can also be used to highlight the high points of the face like the browbone, nose, nasolabial sulcus (cupid's bow), center of the forehead (just above the the brow arch), and cheeks.
CONS:
* It doesn't really have a rich color and you may have to re-apply many times.
*I find the "crease" shades hard to blend with the applicator.
*The white "highlight" shade looks chalky.
*It is not smudge and water proof.
*It doesn't last all day. You have to put a good eye primer for it to really last.
NEUTRAL:
*None.
RECOMMENDATION:
* I think it suites even to those who have oily lids. Put on a thin layer of powder to set it to avoid smudging.
*It is better to use a primer if you want it to last for hours.
*Use a good eyeliner and eyeshadow brush for application.
*To those who have fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, it's better to use an eye cream and a primer so it wouldn't set on your imperfections.
Will I re-purchase?
*NO. I'm not really a fan of eyeshadows and I don't think I'd use this kind of palette every day.
If I were to buy eyeshadows or a palette, I think I'd just buy a neutral set or those that are light and wearable for the everyday look. I may also purchase a light or neutral lip tint and just mix it with my concealer, foundation, or BB cream.
WHERE TO BUY and PRICE:
*This is a gift given to my mom. I don't really know the exact price. Though I've seen a random website that sells it at a discounted price of Php 395.
*You can check it up at online websites like EBAY.com
*Or visit Victoria's Secret Counters in Malls. They have a store in SM Mega Fashion Hall. I just don't know if this palette is available. They have a lot of palettes and kits to choose from anyway.
