My First ever Beauty Adventure! (^o^) Liole Water Drop BB Cream Review + Swatches
Ohayou minna san! I just said good morning in japs (Japanese) since it's still morning here in the Philippines. This will be my first ever blog post as well. First of all I want you guys to know that I'm really not a fan of beauty products or anything that has to do with it. I used to be the "she-man" type. HAHAHAHA. But I need to improve myself since I'm getting old and I'm a workaholic "loka girl" so I started to look for the appropriate things that are good for my sensitive and not-so-good type of skin. Korean products became a huge hit here since a lot of the Filipinos became obsessed with the porcelain, natural and glowing look of the Korean celebrities. I said Filipinos because women here are not the only one's that are concerned with their looks. Truth is, guys tend to be more anxious. The first ever beauty product that I bought was the LIOLE WATER DROP BB CREAM.
I got it from Lazada last 2013.
It looked so promising since it claims that it makes wonders on your skin that's why this was my first choice. It's also one of the cheapest korean bb creams and is even discounted at Lazada that time.

This is the English version. (photo from google)
While this one, I think, is the previous version. It's almost the same though except for the upgraded packaging.
PRODUCT CLAIMS:
* It is a moisturizing bb cream which makes your skin moist since it contains water drop.
* It naturally covers the skin blemishes to create clean skin tone and keeps the skin soft for a long time without glossiness
* It has an SPF of 27 PA++
* Forms water droplets upon application.
* Contains various plant extracts to keep skin moist and healthy, providing a natural color.
* Cool Relief of reddened skin.

Water, Phenyl Trimethicone,Titanium Dioxide, Cyclopentasiloxane, Alcohol Denat,Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate,4-Methylbenzylidene Camphor, Talc,PEG-10 Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, CI 77492, Sodium Citrate,Methylparaben, Chlorphenesin, Butylparaben, CI 77491, CI 77499, Fragrance, Cyclomethicone,Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Disodium EDTA,PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ethyl Menthane Carboxamide , Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Hexyl Laurate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract,Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Bark/Leaf/Twig Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Prunus Persica (Peach) Fruit Extract, Citric Acid
HOW TO APPLY:
Take an appropriate amount and apply a small dab on your cheeks, nose, chin and forehead. With the tips of your finger, spread it evenly on your face. To avoid it from caking, let it sit for about 5 minutes before building it up for more coverage and before applying powder to set it.
Here's my hand with a pea sized amount of the bb cream. It has only one shade which is sort of a worry for those who have lighter or darker skin tone. But as of what the product claims, it blends in seamlessly and adjusts to your skin tone making it invisible as if you have no makeup on.
This is the cream applied lightly at the back of my hand. It may not be seen at the photo but up close, you can really see that there are water droplets forming after a few seconds of applying and blending it on the skin. It's sort of like a tinted moisturizer but I didn't think that it really did moisturize nor cover any of my problem areas. The finish is quite glossy. My skin's relatively oily and it sometimes feel dry without anything on. I really don't like sticky and heavy looking products on my skin. I can say that this product is for those who have REALLY GOOD and NORMAL skin type.
I suggest that you can apply this after your normal skin care routine as a makeup base before applying your medium to full cover foundation and concealer especially those who have skin concerns like acne, pimples, enlarged pores, wrinkles, sun spots, etc.
As a conclusion, I think this product is suited for those who have a normal type of skin.
PROS:
* Lightweight
* It has an SPF, I don't need to apply a sunscreen lotion or gel anymore.
* It didn't give me break outs.
*It is easy to remove even without a makeup remover, water and a mild soap or your go-to cleansers are enough.
* It is not cakey upon application of the first layer.
* You can apply it with your fingers, a sponge or brush but it's best applied with your fingers.
CONS:
* It doesn't cover the problem areas that much.
*It feels a little bit sticky especially if you don't set it with powder.
*It left a white cast after 4 hours and it is hard to blot off the oil.
*After about 8 hours, the cream oxidized and my skin looked dark.
*It doesn't do well picture taking especially with flash photography.
*It didn't last all day, I could say that it only lasted 3 hours at home and in the office, and about 1 1/2 hours outside.
*I won't recommend it to sporty enthusiasts,
Neutral:
*Price
*Fragrance. It doesn't really have a strong smell. It isn't aromatic either. I think it smelled like a mild plastic and a clay.
Recommendation:
*Those who have a normal skin type, stay-at -home moms, and those who are always in air conditioned rooms.
Will I re purchase?
* I don't think so. Maybe if I have a good skin.
